Annette, Owner and Founder...

Food has been my first love and my passion. I was brought up in West Clare on my parents’ farm. My parents milked cows, whilst growing every variety of vegetable, fruit and herb imaginable. As kids we were expected to get involved in sowing, growing and picking all the crops in the garden. I had lots of fun in the kitchen helping Mam transform the produce from the garden into tarts, crumbles, chutneys, jams and much more. The summers spent in my Mam's kitchen, taught me that when you treat great ingredients with respect, the result is dishes that have superb flavours.

After completing my degree in Hospitality Management, I left Ireland in the 1990s to seeking adventures aboard. Having lived in London for more years than I care to admit, I moved back to West Clare early in 2008. In the summer of 2008 I founded a small artisan food company with a commitment to quality and passion − ‟Minihans” was born.
