Minihans Gold at the National Irish Food Awards

The National Irish Food Awards - Blas na hEireann Awards, which could be described as the Oscars of the Irish food world, concluded late last year.
The gold award in the Newcomers category was presented to Minihans, for their supreme Savoury Quiche with spinach, goat's cheese and tomato.
The Blas na hEireann, Irish Food Awards are organised by An Board Bia. Producers enter their foods and they are judged by a number of different judging panels. In 2008, the year of Minihans Gold Award, over 750 products were entered the awards. All food tasting was blind and the judges were fine food retailers, chefs, food critics and other industry experts.
